Freedom is a feeling..🤍

Freedom is more than constant travel to far-off destinations, hiking the biggest baddest mountains, or even endless next-level experiences 💎
 It’s soooo much more than that. It’s layered (like a cake mmmmm) and they aren't all tied to these outlandish travels or lavish lifestyles.

Some people, like me, financial & locational freedom are the ultimate end goals, but what happens in the meantime creates and builds up the momentum to have more options, more resources, more space, and even more money.

I remember when I first started…

➾ I was still working full-time, juggling the old job and new business tasks (like a superhero💃🏼), building the foundation of my business - automation, marketing skills, and all the things I had no idea about 😮‍💨

It was hard to accept that I couldn’t have it all straight away, but I still wanted to feel a sense of freedom in my week. Like a little taster almost haha..

To achieve this, I shifted my focus onto things we sometimes forget to appreciate.

I am talking about midday walks on the beach, catching up with like-minded people for weekday luncheons, waking up without an alarm, and enjoying my coffee in the garden. Even taking the laptop out to the local cafe for a change of scenery.

Sometimes we overlook these ’little moments’, but they can really make us feel free🌴

For years, I've lived within reach of the pristine beaches of Western Australia, but I rarely took the plunge.

Every time I dipped my toes into the ocean, the infamous Jaws theme song would play in my head 🫠

So, I settled for peaceful moments on the sandy shores, just soaking in the beauty around me 🐚

During my recent adventures, I stumbled upon an unbelievable opportunity that was too incredible to pass up - I decided to dive right in (typical Veera move😅) and swim with the ocean's gentle giants, those massive and majestic Whale Sharks!

Let me tell you, it was mind-blowingly amazing! 🤩

Jumping off the boat and immersing myself in the vibrant marine life of Ningaloo Reef felt surreal. Colourful fish, playful stingrays, and even the occasional reef shark accompanied me as I marvelled at the sprawling coral reefs 🤿🐠

And then, in that moment of floating there with my mask down, completely immersed in the ocean, something truly magical happened…

I noticed a gigantic blue shadow approaching, revealing the wide mouth and soft white underbelly of none other than a magnificent whale shark. Its skin had this rich, dark blue colour with sun-kissed speckles that mirrored the piercing light rays cutting through the water.

I swam alongside it, kicking like crazy to keep up as it effortlessly glided through the water 🪸

No words can fully capture the enchanting grace of their movement.

Slowly falling back, I watched as its tail swayed rhythmically through the water, almost hypnotising me.

And just like that, it disappeared, vanishing into the depths of the breathtaking blue ocean 💙

As I struggled to gather my thoughts and comprehend the magnitude of that moment, a group of manta rays decided to join the party.

They swam and played, gracefully soaring through the water. They got so close to me, playfully flicking me with their fins, as if inviting me to be a part of their majestic performance.

And if that wasn't enough, the ocean had one more surprise in store for me 🤯

A curious juvenile humpback whale swam right beneath us, breaching and waving its white underside as if saying goodbye.

Swimming alongside these gentle giants, I could feel their incredible energy, their immense strength, and power - it was absolutely empowering, it almost brought tears to my eyes ✨

Reflecting on this extraordinary adventure, I now realise that I accomplished exactly what I always strive for - I faced my fears head-on! I embraced a new thrilling experience, bravely confronting my anxieties.

It would have been so easy to stay within my comfort zone, just daydreaming about what could have been.

But instead, I pushed my boundaries and opened the door to a world I could have never imagined 🦋

Once again, I proved to myself that fear should never, ever hold us back 🤍
